I think there is a lot pressure to have the best kit as a photographer. Especially when you are first starting out.
No one wants to turn up at a wedding and the find the Brides Grandma has a better camera than you.
I get a lot of questions on Instagram about what camera I use. I always say you can honestly create beautiful images with the simplest cameras. Just look at the new iPhone- hello portrait Mode!
When I first started taking photos I used the Canon 500D with its kit lenses for years before I upgraded and I loved it.
Now I'm taking things a little more seriously (ahh adulthood) I now use two bodies. The 5Dmkii & the 6D mk ii. Having two cameras is pretty essential for weddings when you don't have time to switch up your lenses.
The main lenses I always use are the Sigma 35mm 1.4, Canon 50mm 1.8, Canon 24-105mm.
Remember practice makes perfect and you need to put time in as well as pennies. I hope this is helpful!
